Boeing CH-47 Chinook (born Boeing CH-47 Chinook, CH - from Cargo Helicopter) is an American heavy longitudinal military transport helicopter. Developed from the CH-46 and has been in widespread use since the early 1960s. He replaced the H-37 helicopter in the US Army, and later the CH-54. It is in service with more than 20 countries of the world. In addition to the USA, it has been produced since 1970 in Italy (more than 200 helicopters) and Japan (54 helicopters have been produced by Kawasaki).
