12,7mm UBS Heavy Machine-Gun 1/72 Scale Model Kit Mini World 7211
UB ( abbr. U universal Berezina ) - 12.7 -mm aircraft gunsmith M.E. Berezin. It was produced at the Kovrov Armory (experimental batch), Tula Arms and Izhevsk Machine-Building Plants in the 1940s .
In 1937-1938. Berezin designed a synchronous machine gun chambered for 12.7 × 108 mm , which passed factory and field tests at the end of 1938 . On April 12, 1939 (before the end of military trials), the BS machine gun ("Berezin Synchronous") was put into serial production by a decision of the Defense Committee
After refinement and elimination of certain shortcomings (imperfection of the reloading system, insufficient survivability of some automation parts), the UB machine gun was developed on the basis of the BS in three modifications: wing, synchronous and turret, and for the first two a pneumatic reloading system was created, and for the latter, designer G. I. Nikitin - lever-type reloading handle. The UB successfully passed military tests for the period from January 7 to February 22, 1941, and on April 22, 1941 was put into service and for production.
In 1941 they collected 6300 pieces, in 1942 - 25000*, in 1943 - 43690, in 1944 - 38340, in 1945 - 42952
