Yak-18T - Soviet light training and passenger four-seater aircraft with a trunk. The Yak-18T was created on the basis of the Yak-18 and became the final modification in the Yak-18U, Yak-18A, Yak-18P, Yak-18PM, Yak-18PS series.

The development of the Yak-18T began in 1964. The first flight of a prototype was made in 1967, serial production was carried out in 1973-1983 at the Smolensk Aviation Plant. In total, during this period, 536 Yak-18Ts were produced in Smolensk, including prototypes and specimens intended for testing. In 1974, an ambulance version of the aircraft was built (factory No. 03-05), designed to transport a patient on a stretcher, accompanied by one doctor, but mass production of this modification was not organized. In the design bureau of A. S. Yakovlev, variants of the aircraft with ski and float landing gear were also developed, but the matter did not come to construction.

Initially, the Yak-18T was designed as a multi-purpose one, so the USSR Ministries of Forestry and Health ordered 300 vehicles for their units. These applications were not satisfied, since the decision of the USSR Council of Ministers, the Yak-18T was accepted as a training aircraft. For 10 years, the Smolensk Aviation Plant sent its products only to civil aviation flight schools: Aktobe, Buguruslan, Kirovograd, Krasnokutsk and Sasovskoe. Yak-18T aircraft were not delivered to DOSAAF flying clubs.
