Henschel Hs 123 is one of the first German dive bombers, with the development of aviation it was already used more as an attack aircraft. The aircraft was designed by Henschel-Werke. The program provided for the creation of a relatively simple single-seat biplane.
The aircraft took to the skies for the first time on April 1, 1935. May 8, he was demonstrated to the officials of the Reich. In August 1935, 4 prototypes were tested at the Rechlin test site. Shortly after the modifications, the aircraft was put into mass production in the summer of 1936, adopted by the German Luftwaffe in November 1936. Soon after the adoption of the Ju 87A, the aircraft was used more as an attack aircraft, while becoming the first attack aircraft of the Luftwaffe.
Hs 123A-0 is a pre-production model. 16 built.
Hs 123A-1 - BMW 132Dc engine (880 hp). Small arms - 2 synchronous 7.92-mm machine guns MG 17. Bomb load - 1x250-kg bomb under the fuselage (possible suspension of PTB), 4x50-kg bombs under the wing (instead of them, suspension of 2 containers with 92 2-kg fragmentation bombs is possible) . 229 serial pieces were built.
