An-14 "Bee" (according to NATO codification: Clod - "Lump") - a Soviet light transport aircraft intended to replace the An-2, made its first flight on March 14, 1958. The aircraft had the possibility of short takeoff and landing and was designed for operation from unprepared unpaved grounds.

An-14 is equipped with two Ivchenko AI-14RF piston radial engines. The An-14 was very stable in flight and was available to medium and low-skilled pilots after a few hours of training. It was operated mainly by the USSR Air Force as a communications aircraft.

Serial production began in 1965, ended in 1972 - the An-14 could not replace the An-2, only 340 aircraft were built. On the basis of the An-14, the An-28 was developed, a modification of which is still (2013) produced in Poland by the PZL-Mielec plant, and in Ukraine, the An-38 was developed on its basis. [Source not specified 3454 days] Last restored from a museum exhibit the flight copy of the An-14 took off on December 9, 1999 from the test airfield of the Arsenievsky aircraft plant "Progress"; during the flight, performing a departure to the alternate airfield in difficult weather conditions (snow charge), the car touched the trees on the slope of the hill with its wing and crashed. On board this aircraft was the elite of coastal professional aviation.

All-metal piston twin-engine strut-braced high-wing wing with two tail empennage, tail cargo-passenger door and fixed landing gear.
