AR-NATI, or "Car-Scout" - a passenger multi-purpose 4-seater with a 4x4 wheel arrangement, with a trailer with a carrying capacity of 400 kg. In January 1941, NATI received a task to build a car similar to the American "Bantam", on the GAZ MM units. The leadership of this work was carried out by B.V. Shishkin The works were carried out by designers A.F. Andronov and A.A. Duskevich. The group of specialists on engines was headed by S.B. Chistozvonov. Constructive development, nodes monitoring the construction of their GAZ carried VF. Rodionov. The trailer with independent suspension was designed by A.A. Seslavin. AR-NATI served as a prototype for the serial GAZ-64, developed at GAZ with the direct participation of B.V. Shishkina.
